After beating Carter O'Sullivan defined the weird cause why he has needed to change shirts.
He stated: "Where we put all these stickers and badges on totally different shirts at totally different tournaments, I've literally ruined each black shirt I've obtained. This is the one one I have left within the wardrobe.

O'Sullivan, 48, has had a massively profitable marketing campaign and has pocketed a record £1.142million in prize money.

But he is not pleased with his game and was very crucial of his method, suggesting in some ways he has had a "horrible season".
He stated: "In some ways it's been a very good season, in some methods it's been a terrible season.
"I all the time examine it to the yr I had five finals that I misplaced [2020/21], I was actually enjoying my snooker, felt like I used to be enjoying nicely, cueing properly.
"I didn't get the wins however I wasn't actually that bothered, I was excited to play every match and felt like I was competing properly and enjoying good.
"This yr I've acquired the wins however technically I've been horrible, in all probability my worst yr technically.
"I've needed to grind out the wins and that's by no means going to provide me a lot satisfaction.
