A man who claimed to be an heir to the Rothschild banking dynasty died in a blaze that ripped through his Los Angeles home after suffering a stroke while cooking. William Alexander de Rothschild, 87, was found in an 'unrecognizable condition' following the fire at his $1million Laurel Canyon house in November. Officials ruled de Rothschild, who told his neighbors he was from the prestigious family, had been in the kitchen when he suffered the medical emergency.
