CAA has signed Oscar winner Adam McKay and his Hyperobject Industries for representation in numerous areas.

Exactly a decade ago, "The Big Short" introduced a new dimension to McKay – the director of beloved, bro-ish classics like "Step Brothers," "Anchorman" and "The Other Guys." The script, an eye-level explanation of the 2008 housing market collapse, netted McKay an Academy Award and a BAFTA in addition to nominations for best director from AMPAS, BAFTA and the Golden Globes. His follow-up "Vice," an inventive biopic of Dick Cheney led by Christian Bale, was nominated for eight Academy Awards.
McKay's upcoming slate includes a thriller from writer-director Tommy Wirkola, starring Phoebe Dynevor, Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou. He's also partnering with Bong Joon Ho on a limited series inspired by the latter's best picture winner "Parasite." McKay will also produce the documentary feature "Stormbound" for Imax, which follows Florida weather spotter Jeff Gammons into the dangerous world of storm chasing during peak U.S. storm season.
Hyperobject is behind some of the buzziest film and TV hits in recent memory, including "The Menu," "Booksmart," "Dead to Me" and "Hustlers." The label is run by McKay and Kevin Messick, with producers Todd Schulman, Betsy Koch and Maeve Cullinane. In May 2023, McKay founded Yellow Dot Studios with managing director Staci Roberts-Steele. The group is a non-profit media organization challenging disinformation about the climate crisis through comedy.
