Baena died aged 47 on January 3 2025, and was found at home near the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County medical examiner concluded he died by suicide. The film creator married Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey, 40, in 2021, having been in a relationship together for a decade.
