'It's unbelievable Jeff': Middlesbrough nets £100,000 for new community football centre in Chris Kamara's home borough in latest Sky Bet EFL funding
Legendary Sky Sports host Jeff Stelling has a new surprise for long-time friend Chris Kamara – as 'Kammy's' home borough in the North-East of England will be getting a new state of the art community football centre. The Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund has selected a community scheme backed by Middlesbrough FC for £100,000-worth of vital funding – alongside eight other successful applications. The funding ensures Middlesbrough Borough Council in partnership with Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation, can press ahead with the new Southlands Centre in Park End, where Chris Kamara was raised and learnt his first football back in the 1970s.
