Partick Thistle skipper Demi Falconer will miss a game to make stem cell donation
The captain of Partick Thistle women's team will miss her side's match this weekend to donate stem cells for a seriously ill Brit. Demi Falconer will be hooked up to a machine for as long as five hours as the life-saving cells are screened out of her blood. However, the hospital appointment means the 27-year-old will miss the match against Montrose Ladies on Sunday. Discussing why she chose to undergo the procedure, Falconer explained 'some things are bigger than football'.
