After 15 seasons, Iowa will reportedly fire Fran McCaffrey as its head men's basketball coach. In his time leading the Hawkeyes, McCaffrey clinched seven NCAA tournament appearances and produced four NBA draftees in the last four drafts. However, Iowa never advanced past the second round of the tournament with him in charge. McCaffrey is the father of Connor McCaffrey, who is dating WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark. Clark and Connor will celebrate two years of dating next month after making their romance publicly official in August 2023.
