Costco's Cozy $60 Dog Bed Is Made for Chilly Fall Mornings

There comes a point every fall when getting out of bed feels considerably less appealing than it did in July. Your dog seems to understand this instinctively. The morning walk can wait another five minutes when there’s a warm, ridiculously soft place to curl up and pretend neither of you has anywhere to be.

Costco’s Kirkland Signature Aero Cloud Faux Fur Cuddler Pet Bed looks built for exactly those mornings. Priced at $59.99 online, the generously sized bed combines a plush faux-fur surface with memory foam and soft polyester fiberfill, creating the kind of cushioned spot that practically begs for a post-walk nap.

The Aero Cloud measures 40 by 32 inches, giving dogs room to settle into whichever sleeping position happens to feel right that day. A pup can curl into the raised edges, lean against them or stretch across the center without being confined to a tiny cushion.

Underneath all that faux fur is a combination of memory foam and down-alternative polyester fiberfill. The memory foam adds support while the softer fill gives the bed the pillowy feel its “Aero Cloud” name promises.

That combination could be particularly appealing for dogs who can’t seem to get comfortable in a flat bed. The cushioned border creates a natural place to lean against or rest a chin while still leaving an open center for stretching out. It also gives dogs who like curling into the couch corner a similar little nest of their own.

A plush fabric bottom provides non-skid performance, which can help keep the bed from sliding around when an enthusiastic dog launches themselves into it.

For pups who need a more traditional, supportive setup, Target’s FurHaven plush and suede orthopedic sofa dog bed is another option designed to give dogs a comfortable place to stretch out.

A Cozy Dog Bed Is Much Better When Cleanup Isn’t a Project

Plush faux fur sounds wonderful until muddy paws arrive home from a rainy walk. Fortunately, Costco’s bed has a zippered, removable cover that’s machine washable, so keeping the sleeping surface fresh doesn’t mean squeezing the entire bed into your washing machine.

That seemingly small detail can matter quite a bit with something your dog uses every day. Between shedding, dirt and the occasional mysterious dog smell, a bed that looks beautiful in the living room won’t stay that way for long if cleaning it becomes a chore.

Costco also offers the Aero Cloud in gray, brown, tan and white. Having several neutral options makes it easier to choose one that works with your space instead of accepting that a giant pet bed simply has to look like a giant pet bed.

That’s something more pet brands are getting right. Furb’s corduroy dog bed takes a similar decor-friendly approach by making a pet essential look more like something you’d intentionally add to the room.

At 40 inches wide, the Aero Cloud won’t disappear into a corner. But that’s part of its appeal, too. This is less of a tiny sleeping mat and more of a proper lounging destination.

And once the temperature drops and your dog discovers that giant patch of faux fur waiting for them, you may have a new problem: convincing them that the cold morning walk is worth leaving their cloud.
