James Van Der Beek Sells Past Movie Merch to Help Families with the Financial Burden of Cancer-Including My Own


James Van Der Beek is raising money for "families recovering from the financial burden of cancer." The Varsity Blues alum, 47, revealed on both Instagram and Facebook on Nov. 22 that he is selling merchandise in honor of the 25th anniversary of the 1999 sports film — all for a good cause. For the post, Van Der Beek posed in a series of nostalgic photos while holding a football and wearing a replica West Canaan Coyotes jersey, similar to the one worn by his Varsity Blues character, Jonathan "Mox" Moxon.
