Car prices in the U.S. have barely changed in 2025 — they're up just $97 since the beginning of the year on average, according to a recent Cars.com report. But that modest increase hides some major shifts, as prices imported from some countries have surged by thousands.

Imported Cars That Have Gotten Cheaper

Some imported vehicles have actually gotten less expensive since the start of the year, the Cars.com report found. Average prices declined for vehicles from:

China: -$1,313

Canada: -$704

South Korea: -$508
