During a February 2026 interview withGlamour, Kelly shared that his wife was "present for making the vast majority" of theLove Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.
When asked if his wife felt "prepared" for what was "about to happen" to his fame after the series premiered, Kelly responded, "I don't know if anyone's prepared for what might happen. We'll see."
"We're just taking it in stride, and I'm so lucky for this wonderful support system," the actor said of his wife.
During a December 2025 conversation withInterview, Kelly shared that while he is "too busy to read anybody's opinion right now," his wife would "find paparazzi shots" while the show was filming and show him.

Since they've been together, Kelly and Widziszewski-Kelly have kept their romance mostly out of the spotlight.

Kelly announced they were expecting a baby in December 2025

During his December 2025 conversation withInterview, Kelly reflected on landing the role of JFK Jr. — and noted the day of his producer callback was also the day he and his wife found out they were expecting a child.
"I do the Zoom, and right before we're about to go for dinner for our second wedding anniversary, she tells me we're pregnant," he said, noting that "May 1st was a big day."
The next day, his agent called him and told him they wanted to see him for a chemistry read with Pidgeon, who was already cast as Bessette.
The actor also told the outlet that when the show finished filming, he and his wife planned to go back home to Portland and "start nesting" and preparing for the baby, who was due on Jan. 7.
Kelly has yet to publicly announce the arrival of a baby.
