Universal Music Group (UMG) is prepared to name "time out on TikTok" if the two corporations fail to renegotiate their partnership at the moment.
UMG revealed an open letter citing "applicable compensation for our artists and songwriters, protecting human artists from the harmful effects of AI, and online safety for TikTok's customers" because the three key issues TikTok has yet to deal with. TikTok responded with their statement studying, "It's unhappy and disappointing that Common Music Group has put their own greed above the interests of their artists and songwriters."
If negotiations fall by means of, Common Music Group will pull its whole catalog of music from the platform. The music big owns a third of the world's music including a few of TikTok customers' favorite songs. Here is only a small number of songs beloved by users of the platform that shall be removed.
