The subsequent day the automotive was picked up and pushed to a Moto service area at Cherwell Valley, Oxon, where it was once more unloaded and the keys left in the same place.

Mr Hassan stated that despite the faulty turbo, his automotive might simply have been stolen and driven away by anybody finding the hidden keys.

The next day the automotive was picked up and eventually delivered to Milton Keynes the place it's presently being repaired.

Wade, who runs his personal performance elements automotive firm, stated: "This is an expensive car and is an in-your-face present automotive which has had in depth work executed on it.

"I can't consider it was left in a single day with the important thing fob unprotected like this.

"I know every little thing that happened as it is fitted with a tracker and I even contacted people who worked at the service stations they usually confirmed it was unloaded and left standing.

"I wouldn't anticipate this from the AA and I perceive they sub-contracted the supply to other corporations.

"But once I complained concerning the danger of doing this to my automotive I was shocked to seek out out that this was the process they followed."

Regardless of knocking back Wade's grievance about the important thing fob being left in a spot where he thought thieves might have found them, the AA stated they might ship him £50 as compensation for poor communication.

An AA spokeswoman stated: "We have now spoken to Mr Hassan to supply our apologies for some communication points in the course of the recovery of his car and have strengthened our apology with a suggestion of compensation.

"It is normal follow across the restoration business for drivers to be given the selection of whether or not they want to journey with their car in the recovery truck or have it recovered unaccompanied and have the keys left in an agreed location.

"In this instance, the member selected to go away their car and it was recovered unaccompanied inside the timeframe given in our phrases and circumstances."

The story comes 18 months after the President of the AA, Edmund King, revealed that his wife Deidre's £50,000 automotive had been stolen by key hackers.

Mr King encouraged motorists to keep their keyless automotive fobs inside a secure pouch, locked in a field and then positioned inside a microwave after hackers stole his spouse's keyless Lexus.
