Personal parking tons in Omaha, Nebraska racked up complaints from motorists who reportedly did not read the signs with rules posted for event weekend parking, leading to loads of tows and annoyed drivers.
"We figured it was okay because there were other individuals parked there," one annoyed car proprietor advised NBC affiliate WOWT.
"They have been getting in automobiles and leaving. We obtained carried out and our automotive was gone."
Some drivers even had to wait until Monday to get their automobiles back after they paid the superb, because the personal tons have been closed on the weekend.
Many drivers claimed there was no cost kiosk or attendant present, so it was assumed that parking within the tons owned by Tow Execs and Heartland Towing was free.
To get their car again, they needed to pay $150 in a towing payment and a $15 administration charge plus taxes.
Those who had to wait the weekend, though, didn't need to pay the $15-a-day storage payment because the lot was closed.
Joe Livingston, the proprietor of both towing companies, stated that the issue might have been prevented.
"Learn the signs," he stated.
"When you can't pay, then don't park there. For those who can't pay to park on lots, then don't park there. Is it confusing? I don't assume so."

Being with no automotive all weekend was troublesome for many drivers for many reasons, however for some, it had the whole lot to do with security.
One couple went without the automotive seat base for his or her five-month-old daughter.
"We've had to attempt to hold her secure in our other automotive with no automotive seat base," stated the toddler's mom.
One other couple was visiting from Missouri and had to stay for the weekend whereas they waited to retrieve their automotive, lacking out on work.
"Another $140 for a lodge and we both have jobs, so we're not going to be at them immediately," he stated.
Matt Kuhse, a metropolis lawyer stated that while it might be frustrating, officers usually are not allowed to impose restrictions on towing corporations to require weekend returns.
"That's not one thing we might put in an ordinance. It will be like us telling a restaurant they'd need to be open on sure days of the week," he stated.
