This is just one of many amusing moments that breaks up a fairly dark show with some lightness. Jack is on the centre of just about all of these exchanges.

So why is John Bradley's character also one of the present's worst bits?
Think about what Recreation of Thrones would have been like if Tyrion had died in Season 1. That was the feeling I had when Jack Rooney was unceremoniously murdered at the close of episode three of 3 Body Drawback, just as his character was hitting his stride. His dry eye-rolling and double-act with Jin have been so much fun to observe, and the absence of that's felt fairly badly in the subsequent 5 episodes.
I am not saying he should have been stored round to the top, necessarily, but episode three did feel somewhat bit premature. If we might had Jack's sarcastic commentary at the seashore home, or after the San-Ti launch their "you're bugs" assault, it might have added some laughing-in-the-face-of-the-apocalypse humour that, after Rooney makes his exit, is one thing the present's missing.
