SHAKIRA has opened up on her break-up from Gerard Pique and claimed her ex "dragged her down".
The Colombian celebrity, 47, split with the former Barcelona star in 2022 after 11 years collectively.
She has since poured her focus back into her music, releasing her first full album in seven years last Friday.
Selling the document, titled "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran", which means "Ladies not cry", Shakira appeared on The Tonight Present with Jimmy Fallon.
Referencing her previous relationship, the worldwide celebrity didn't maintain back.
She stated: "I've been putting out music right here and there however it was really arduous for me to put together a body of labor.
"I didn't have time due to the husband factor.
"Now I'm husbandless. Yeah, the husband was dragging me down. Now I'm free. Now I can truly work."
Referencing the identify of her album, she giggled: "It's men's flip now.

Shakira's new album features references to Pique.

Asked if those words were aimed at Pique, Shakira informed& The Times: "Voldemort, that one which shouldn't be talked about? It's hopefully the final track that I will write about this, and to him.
"I felt that there was nonetheless something there, stuck in my throat, and I needed to get it out.
"I played it to the advertising head at Sony and he began crying. I'd never seen a man cry in my studio before."
Shakira and Pique had two youngsters together during their 11-year relationship, throughout which they have been by no means truly married – Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9.
Pique, 37, is now courting Clara Chia Marti, 25.
