Raja is officially a season 3-peat contender on *RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7* — which, as the drag superstar exclusively tells EW, could mark her final appearance ever on the Main Stage.

"There were several moments I wanted to repeat, just as a reminder of what happened 11 years ago," Raja tells *EW's BINGE* podcast (listen below) of hitting the latest, knitting-themed *AS7* runway clad in a gilded recreation of her Futurama Glamorama (otherwise known as "She3PO") look that first rocked the fandom back in 2011. "This is an elevated version of it, which is how I think life should be lived: You can take concepts from your past and do better versions of it, or do something a little more elevated.... I did want to make some revisits, just as a reminder. I slayed it once before, and I'm going to slay it again."

Raja adds that she and her drag daughter worked on the revamped version by knitting together gold ropes and threads with several large needles — a method that reminds Raja of passing time on New York City subways by knitting, years before she became the season 3 winner. The popular music group Deee-Lite (particularly its leader, Lady Miss Kier) also provided inspiration for the garment, which collides two of Raja's favorite elements as a Gemini: "The past and the future," she says.

RuPaul's Drag Race

Raja recreates her Futurama Glamorama look from season 3 on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7'. World of Wonder (2)

The hard work paid off: Raja won her second overall challenge on the latest episode of* All Stars 7*, after triumphing in a Scrooge-inspired role in the holiday-themed *Mean Girls* satire/murder mystery acting challenge titled *Santa's School for Girls*. She later beat The Vivienne in a two-woman lip-sync, earning her second Legendary Legend Star of the season.

When asked if she's had recent conversations with fellow *Drag Race* alums Violet Chachki and Gottmik — who took over for her as the hosts of the recap show* Fashion Photo RuView* and subsequently "booted" some of her looks at the start of the season — Raja said that, while she has nothing but love for both queens, she's enjoying being "booked and blessed" in her career. Noting that as much as she's enjoying her reintroduction to the *Drag Race* fandom, this might the last fans see of her on the Emmy-winning show.

"This is the last time I'm ever going to be on *RuPaul's Drag Race *ever in my life, so, I'm just focused on the positive and, no, I haven't had a conversation with [Violet and Gottmik] at all. I've just been surrounding myself with other things. There's so much! They're busy, they're booked and blessed as well, I've been watching them, I follow both of them on Instagram," Raja explains.

When pressed on whether her comments were a declaration or speculation, she clarifies: "Right now at this point I'm saying it's a declaration. It's such a hard thing to do and I live a life of leisure and I hate being inconvenienced," she jokes. "It's so hard to do *Drag Race*. It's stressful, but I can't see myself doing that ever again right now. I'm saying that today. You never know, I might get a call from Randy [Barbato] and Fenton [Bailey] of World and Wonder like, 'We're going to do another one!' You never know, I might change my mind, but today I'd say it's not a possibility."

*RuPaul's Drag Race *legends Monét X Change and Trinity The Tuck have gone from being mere twinners to sisters in the same family.

The relationship between the *All Stars 4 *champions (and current *All Stars 7* competitors) has strengthened over time, as Monét tells EW's BINGE podcast (below) that mutual experiences both on and off the Emmy-winning show have brought them closer together since the queens each took a crown on *AS4* back in 2019.

"*All Stars 4 *was the first time I ever met Trinity, and Trinity will tell you, Trinity really wanted to win, and when Trinity is in pageant competition mode, she can be a little savage, right?" Monét explains. "It's not like she tried to do something crazy, but there was definitely an air of savagery. After the show, working a little bit together, we got to know each other more, and I got to see Trinity for Trinity. After we both won, we got to work a lot together, and I've seen this really beautiful side of Trinity that I didn't necessarily experience on *All Stars 4 *because she was really trying to win that s---. Since then, I've hung out with Trinity a lot and we've done a lot of stuff together and I've really seen what a beautiful and nice person Trinity is. It's not something for the camera."

She points to Trinity's willingness to help other queens with their looks in the Werk Room — something the queen has done repeatedly since *All Stars 7 *premiered in May — as indicative of the heart that beats underneath the tightest tuck in the industry.

"Even on this *All Stars* season, everything Trinity was doing on and off camera just showed what a genuinely sweet, amazing person Trinity is, and I really have grown to love Trinity immensely since *All Stars 4*," continues the season 10 alum. "She's a very good person, she's very kind, and she's very sweet, and she'll go out of her way, sometimes to her detriment, to help other people."

Monét's words come after the pair had a moving moment on the *Untucked* couch together, expressing love and admiration for each other through tears — all while season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon hilariously underscored the end of their moment with an expertly timed strum of her ukulele.

She also shared another moment (non-musical, however) with Jinkx on episode 9 of *AS7*, which saw the top-two challenge-winning queens perform in the first-ever spoken word lip-sync-for-your-legacy on the Main Stage. Together, they performed Dixie Carter's iconic "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" monologue from the hit sitcom *Designing Women*, which was widely applauded by viewers, though some took issue with the fact that the queens didn't duke it out over a dance beat.

"I think that it's ridiculous," Monét — who has previously performed the number in clubs prior to the latest *AS7* episode — says when asked about the criticism. "Say hallelujah to the drag legends, people like Lypsinka, who started doing that s---, and Candis Cayne, who really put lip-syncing to spoken word on the map. If people think that it's a boomer thing, then drag is not for you, bitch, go watch something else, go watch hockey, go watch Allen Iverson dribble the ball. I don't know if he plays basketball anymore, but, sure, touchdown. Like, just don't participate in drag if you can't appreciate all kinds of it. It's not for you, Mary."

DETROIT (Reuters) -One month after a $7,500 federal U.S. tax credit for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids was scrapped, automakers are rethinking their product pipelines and focusing on cheaper models to keep car buyers interested, company executives said on Wednesday at a Reuters conference in Detroit.

Volkswagen's U.S. chief said the company is pivoting to hybrids, which run on both gasoline and batteries, as it waits to see the natural level of consumer demand for EVs. Volkswagen historically has had few hybrid options in its lineup.

"We thought we were going to leapfrog the hybrids, but we can't," said Kjell Gruner, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America. "We're all in" on hybrids, he said.

Instead of plug-in hybrids, VW will focus on full hybrids, which he said have lower costs and higher consumer demand.

Marc Winterhoff, the interim chief of EV startup Lucid Group, said the company has absorbed half the cost of the lost credit and passed half to the customer on its electric Air sedan. It is focused on bringing an affordable model to market by the end of next year.

Winterhoff said he is already seeing demand for battery-powered models recover as company sales incentives kick in.

"There's clearly a dip, but we're already seeing after two, three weeks that it's coming back up again," he said.

U.S. EV sales have fallen far short of carmakers' forecasts from a few years ago, as many shoppers remain leery of charging hassles and high prices. Many traditional automakers are pulling back on their EV plans, although some hope future lower-priced models will entice mass-market buyers.

Rivian finance chief Claire McDonough said the automaker expects waning interest for its leased vehicles, and is providing deals for shoppers looking to purchase. Only leased vehicles from Rivian and Lucid qualified for the tax credits before September 30.

McDonough said Rivian is focused on the R2 SUV, which it plans to launch in the first half of next year at a price around $45,000.

"A lot of players in the traditional automotive space have leaned a little bit more away from EVs right now. And as we look at the opportunity that that creates, we're continuing to innovate," she added.

Traditional automotive competitors including General Motors, Ford and Stellantis have rolled back their EV plans in the United States in recent months, a trend that has intensified with U.S. President Donald Trump's unraveling of federal subsidies and emissions regulations.

Volkswagen's Gruner said it is too soon to say how EV demand will settle without the federal support.

"We need to see what the true demand is and it's going to be very different also in different states," Gruner said. "It's going to be certainly on a different volume level in the future."

Nvidia on Wednesday became the first public company to reach a market capitalization of $5 trillion.

The ravenous appetite for the Silicon Valley company's chips is the main reason that the company's stock price has increased so rapidly since early 2023.

Nvidia carved out an early lead in tailoring its chipsets known as graphics processing units, or GPUs, from use in powering video games to helping to train powerful AI systems, like the technology behind ChatGPT and image generators. Demand skyrocketed as more people began using AI chatbots. Tech companies scrambled for more chips to build and run them.

Nvidia's journey to be one of the world's most prominent companies has produced some eye-popping numbers. Here's a look.

23%

The percentage of stock-focused mutual funds and exchange traded funds tracked by Morningstar Direct with exposure to Nvidia. That's 1,435 out of 6,198, and the exposure totaled about $1.3 trillion in market value across all the funds.

$5.03 trillion

Nvidia's total market capitalization as of the close of trading Wednesday, tops in the S&P 500.

Microsoft at $4.025 trillion and Apple at $4 trillion were next among the most valuable companies in the S&P 500. In all, nine companies in the index have market cap's above $1 trillion.

79

The number of trading days it took for Nvidia's market cap to grow from $4 trillion to $5 trillion. The market cap had jumped from $3 trillion on May 13, to $4 trillion on July 9 (41 trading days), although Nvidia had crossed and fallen back below the $3 trillion threshold a number of times between June 2024 and May 2025 before making the run to $4 trillion.

18.6%

The company's contribution to the gain in the S&:P 500 this year as of Sept. 30, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices. Nvidia shares gained 39% in the first nine months of the year.

$179.6 billion

The net worth of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, according to Forbes, putting him eighth on its Real-Time Billionaires List. Elon Musk is No. 1 at $500.2 billion.

$4.28 trillion

The gross domestic product of Japan, the world's fourth largest economy, according to the International Monetary Fund.

$24.2 billion

The amount of money Nvidia said it returned to shareholders in the form of stock buybacks and dividends in the first half of fiscal 2026.

By David Morgan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The federal government shutdown could cost the U.S. economy between $7 billion and $14 billion, shaving up to 2% from gross domestic product in the fourth quarter due to the lapse in government spending, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said on Wednesday.

The partial shutdown was in its 29th day on Wednesday with no end in sight, as Senate Republicans called on Democrats to support a stopgap measure to fund federal agencies through November 21 and Democrats demanded negotiations to extend expiring federal tax credits to help Americans purchase private health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act.

CBO estimated that the economy would suffer as a result of delayed federal spending for employee compensation, goods and services, and food stamp benefits for low-income Americans.

"Although most of the decline in real GDP will be recovered eventually, CBO estimates that between $7 billion and $14 billion will not be," agency director Phillip Swagel said in an October 29 letter to House of Representatives Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, a Texas Republican who requested the analysis.

"The effects of the shutdown on the economy are uncertain. Those effects depend on decisions made by the administration throughout the shutdown," Swagel wrote.

About 750,000 federal workers have been furloughed since government funding ended on October 1, the start of the 2026 federal fiscal year. The Trump administration has taken steps to provide pay to U.S. troops, federal law enforcement agents and immigration officers. Other federal employees have continued to work without pay.

CBO said the economy would suffer a permanent loss of $7 billion if the shutdown ended this week. A six-week shutdown continuing to November 12 would cost $11 billion and an eight-week shutdown lasting until November 26 would cost $14 billion.
