A army aircraft has exploded over a Russian city killing all 74 individuals on board including 65 captured Ukrainian soldiers.
A video posted to Telegram exhibits the aircraft crashing within the Korochansky District of the Belgorod region, just 40 km north of the Ukrainian border.
Russian state information agency RIA Novosti reported the aircraft was transporting captured Ukrainian troopers for a prisoner change.
They added six crew members and three escorts have been additionally onboard.
'On January 24, at about 11.00 Moscow time, a Il-76 aircraft crashed throughout a scheduled flight in the Belgorod area,' the Ministry of Defence stated, in response to Interfax information agency.
'On board there were 65 captured army personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transported to the Belgorod region for trade, six crew members of the plane and three accompanying persons.'
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated everyone on board had died.
He wrote on Telegram: 'A transport place crashed within the Korochansky district. It fell in a area close to the village. All those on board have been killed.'
The video's caption read: 'Video of a aircraft crash in the Belgorod area.

Russia's overseas ministry stated Ukraine had downed a army aircraft that crashed in Russia's Belgorod area, calling it a 'barbaric' act, state news company TASS reported.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence stated: 'For its part, Ukraine has fulfilled all agreements for the right preparation of the trade. The Russian captured servicemen have been delivered on time to the designated place for trade, the place they have been stored protected.
'In response to the agreements, the Russian aspect had to make sure the security of our defenders. On the similar time, the Ukrainian aspect was not informed about the necessity to ensure the security of the airspace within the space of the town of Belgorod in a sure time period, as was repeatedly accomplished prior to now.
'This will indicate deliberate actions by Russia aimed toward making a menace to the life and safety of prisoners.'
