'Dune: Part Two' demand crashes AMC's website and app | 4J1X0QH | 2024-01-31 10:08:01

Dune: Part Two looks like it's going to be successful on the field workplace. Tickets for the movie — which doesn't drop until March 1 — went on sale Friday and seemed to crash the AMC web site and trigger problems elsewhere, as properly.
Down Detector noted that users had indicated AMC's web site was having points. Anecdotally, the app did not appear to be any better.
Users reported getting an error message once they tried to get tickets to the extremely anticipated film. A lot of individuals posted complaints about the problem online.

There did seem to be a rise in issues with Fandango as nicely, though Down Detector confirmed it wasn't almost as extreme. (In truth, it didn't register as an outage.) And that would have one thing to do with the fact that the bug was disproportionately affecting AMC A-list members who have been signed into their AMC accounts on the website and the app.
It did not look like the problem had been absolutely resolved by about 3:30 p.m. ET Friday. Hopefully, followers will soon be capable of get their tickets. Till then, they're doubtless stuck refreshing and hoping.
